General Updates
Our 1XV take on Dublin University FC J1 in a friendly match this Thursday 8th September in Energia Park, Kick off 7.30pm. Come down and wish our new Club Captain (Colin Jackson), Bernard Jackman, his coaching team and all the players the best for the season ahead and see our new recruits in action.
After the 1XV win in the Spencer Cup 1st Round against Coolmine RFC last Thursday, we expected to play Suttonians last Saturday. However, Suttonians conceded the match and therefore we are now play Monkstown in the Spencer Cup Final last this year.
So the club is up and running and training is in full swing and all the players are set for another great season, your Executive Committee have been active during the summer period preparing for the new season ahead and putting in place the final pieces for the ‘Strategic Review’ planning for the future of Bective evening. Hopefully you will have received the communication sent on 6th Sept via email regarding this important event, taking place on Mon 10th Oct. You can read more here on the Bective Website.
Mini’s Rugby
The Bective Mini’s returned to training last Sunday and after the success of last season expectations are high for another successful season.
