A Thriving and Welcoming Junior Section
The Club has seen a number of Junior teams succeeded in delivering silverware to the trophy cabinet over the past 10yrs. The J2s won the League and Cup Double in the 2019/20 season. Our J4s won the O’Connor Cup in the 2018/19 Season. The Junior section is heart of the club, they have great fun and remain competitive at the same time. There is an extremely strong bond within the group of players and coaches.
Tours
The Junior section ensures that Junior tours are organised regularly with recent tours to the U.K. and the continent. In 2006 as part of the 125th Season 49 Rangers comprising of Senior and Junior sections accompanied by some of the club’s Alickadoos toured Argentina and Chile. More recently, tours to Sweden, the UK and France have taken place.

Junior Section Ethos
In the Junior section, everyone does their bit to make the section what it is, whether it is making the odd telephone call, taking in the flags and pads after the game or helping make a social event a success. This mantra of all lending a small hand makes the goals of success and fun all the easier to achieve.
Organised and enjoyable rugby are the main criteria for a competitive and vibrant playing environment and this is demonstrated with the numerous successes to date. The Junior section is noted for the friendly welcome, camaraderie, emphasis on fun and the organised structures in place.
The Junior section trains in Energia Park Donnybrook and all are welcome. Home matches are played at both H.Q. in Energia Park (Donnybrook) and at our second ground in Glenamuck, a 20 minute drive from Donnybrook. The Junior section boasts members from many countries and counties, the mantra of the veritable melting pot continues. Amongst the ranks of the Junior section it has also produced it’s fair share of International rugby players representing Cyprus, Austria, Switzerland and Kazakhstan.
Donnybrook Gym Facility
All members of the club can avail of the spacious and modern gym under the 2,500 seater stand completed in 2007.
