GENERAL UPDATES
A great start to the season with the 3XV getting a fantastic 38-6 Cup win over CYM in the Madden Cup last Friday, setting the team up for a semi-final tilt against Seapoint on Saturday in Donnybrook, KO 5pm.
So it will be a very busy day at the club on Saturday, with the 1XV & 2 XV commencing their league campaigns against Wicklow, coached by former Springbok Dan Van Zil. Wicklow will be looking to put one over on Bective after the two close encounters last season.
It promises to be a fantastic day in our refurbished clubhouse. Club Manager Mark O’Brien and his staff will be ready, so why not come along with family and friends for the Pre Match Lunch and have a great day out in Bective.

PS. We will also be streaming the game live with commentary. The link to the live stream will be available on the Bective Supporters WhatsApp Group, Bective Social Media and YouTube Channel. We will go live with the stream about 15 minutes before kick-off.
U20’s will commence training on Tues 24 Sept from 6 pm.
MINI’S & YOUTH
The Mini’s & Youths have a busy weekend also and will be in action this Friday night, Sunday morning & afternoon. Last weekend the U13’s won their first grading match 31-12 against Stillorgan/Old Wesley.

U16’s home against Barnhall.

The Big Coffee Morning Social Event for Hospice

Mark & Sharon are holding their annual Charity Coffee Morning for the Hospice, so please come down to the club and support this worthy charity.
BECTIVE MEN’S SHED
The ‘Bective Men’s Shed’ is for those retired members who can give an hour or two on a Thursday to devote to maintenance and development of our premises and for a meet up for tea/coffee. We are keen to develop the rear of the pavilion so that it can be used during the summer months for outside eating/drinking and the group are currently working on this project. The Men’s Shed meets on Thursdays at 12 noon in the clubhouse.
