Hello everyone and welcome back for the 2024/25 season at Bective Rangers FC.
Club President John Bolger passes on his best wishes to all the Bective members, families, supporters, and all our sponsors for the coming season.
Everyone at Bective wishes the best of luck to Club Captain Tiarnan McCloskey, new Head Coach Ben Manion, all the coaches, kit and team managers, the players, all the Mini’s & Youths and parents for a successful and injury free 2024/25 season.
The rugby is already up and running with the 1XV and 2XV completing their recent warm up games in Donnybrook, Cork, Carrick on Shannon and are now ready for the league kick off on Saturday week. The 3XV and 4XV played a successful friendly away to Terenure last Friday and the Mini’s & Youths have also commenced their season with their first run out last Sunday in Donnybrook.
Please note our combined 1XV and 2XV squad are holding a training day in Donnybrook followed by a meet and greet session in the clubhouse this Saturday, September 14th ,4.30pm. This will be a great opportunity to meet up with the coaches and all the players before the Leinster League kicks off.
U20’S will commence training on Tues 24 Sept from 6 pm.

So the 1XV kick off the campaign with a home game in Donnybrook against Wicklow on Sat week, 21st September at 3pm. Wicklow, coached by former Springbok Dan Van Zil, consolidated their 1A League status after promotion the previous season and will be looking to put one over on Bective after the two close encounters last season.
It promises to be a fantastic day in our refurbished clubhouse. Club manager Mark O’Brien and his staff will be ready, so why not come along with family and friends for the Pre Match Lunch and have a great day out in Bective.

Mark & Sharon are holding their annual Charity Coffee Morning for the Hospice, so please come down to the club and support this worthy charity.
BECTIVE MEN’S SHED
The ‘Bective Men’s Shed’ is for those retired members who can give an hour or two on a Thursday to devote to maintenance and development of our premises and for a meet up for tea/coffee. We are keen to develop the rear of the pavilion so that it can be used during the summer months for outside eating/drinking and the group are currently working on this project. The Men’s Shed meets on Thursdays at 12 noon in the clubhouse.
