'The Future of Bective'

Harvest Event
Date: Mon 24th April 2023
Venue: Bective Pavilion, Donnybrook
KO: 7pm

Dear Member, Past Member, Bective Supporter, Friends and Parents of Players,

We are delighted to invite you to the “Harvest Event” which is the next step for the Club in the planning for “The Future of Bective”.

As you know, Bective held an event in the Pavilion called the “Seeding Event” last October. The purpose of the event was to reach out to our membership, alumni, family, friends and supporters of Bective, to help plan “The Future of Bective”. The event was a great success with over one hundred and thirty (130) attending the evening and generating a wealth of ideas for the Future of Bective.

From the Seeding Event, six Working Groups were established and they have been working away with their facilitators on the following projects since October:

Rugby Ambition
Brand and Identity
Clubhouse
Community
Governance
Sponsorship

At the Harvest Event the Working Groups will share results of their work over the last six months and we will have an opportunity as the Bective Community to discuss these results. We hope this will inspire Bective with new energy and ideas for the future and drive the Club on to continued success on and off the field.

We would welcome your attendance and support for the Harvest Event. In particular, we would like to show our appreciation for all the volunteers who have done trojan work over the last six months to lay a solid foundation for the Future of Bective.

We would be grateful if you could register for the event by clicking on this link.

We look forward to seeing you at the Harvest Event.

David O’Donnell
President Bective Rangers FC 2022/2023

IRFU To Cap Previously Uncapped Men’s Internationals

The IRFU is to award caps to 12 players who featured for Ireland but were not awarded caps at the time for games which were not then recognised as International Test Matches.

Bective’s Jack Guiney played on the team in 1946 against England.  See article below:

Visitors from France

Lezaperos Clabado RFC from Castres, France played an entertaining game against Bective Vets (over 35’s) last Friday evening on the back pitch.

Lezaperos included 2 ex-top 14 French players in their team.  Nonetheless, Bective put in a great shift on the night, just coming up short.

Final Score: Bective Rangers 10 – Lezaperos Clabado 17
