GENERAL UPDATES
The league recommences this Saturday and Bective 1XV play their most important match of the season so far against Monkstown. Everyone at the club knows the significance of this game where a win would put Bective on course to retain the League with just 2 games to go. The players have given the supporters some fantastic days this season so let’s ensure that Capt. Matthew, Bernard and all the players have the 16th man on the side line down in Sandymount on Saturday in what promises to be another great game of rugby between our clubs.
We are delighted to report that our U11 and U12 teams are putting out 1 side each taking on Monkstown at 2-2.15pm on Sat which will make the afternoon extra special.

Annual Dinner 2024
The 2024 Annual Club Dinner is just 2 weeks away. The club dinner is always a fantastic night with great people and excellent guest speakers. This year President Michael Shalloe has invited the ‘The GMc’ team featuring ex Irish International Women’s Rugby Coach Greg McWilliams and Noughties Bective coach Nigel Osbourne to entertain the guests, discussing all things rugby from the serious to the ridiculous. Why not take a table with a few pals? The last few years have been a sell out so please book early, details below.

Ladies Lunch
The Ladies Lunch is on Sat 9th March 2024 at 2.30pm in the Clubhouse, Donnybrook in aid of Ronald McDonald House, Children's Health Ireland, Crumlin.
Tickets are €60 each and include a prosecco reception, lunch, raffle & DJ.

U13 AWAY Belvo (cup) kick off TBC
U17s play their last league fixture away to a fast-improving Malahide side. A win will secure a home semi final.
Results
U17 - had a fantastic win against a much bigger Boyne side in a friendly fixture last Friday 9th Feb and scored 7 converted tries on the way to a 49-14 win.
U8 - AWAY Clontarf - our U8’s continued their tackling journey away to Clontarf where they competed in all matches.
U10 - HOME Malahide - Kick off 10:15am - u10’s continued their winning ways at home to Malahide
U11 - AWAY Greystones - Kick off TBC - u11’s performed very well away to a strong Greystones group
U13 - AWAY Blackrock - (Semi - Final League) - unfortunately for the u13 group their league pursuit came to an end with a loss away to Blackrock. Congratulations to all involved getting to a semi final.
Bective seek coach for U20 team
Bective Rangers are seeking applications for the position of Head Coach of their Under 20’s squad for the 2024/25 season and future seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
Create an environment that allows the team to develop their own identity and culture that is in keeping with Bective’s values and ambition.
Create good relationships with all club coaching staff, medical personnel, S&C teams and the players.
Conduct regular reviews with coaching teams and our Director of rugby against agreed KPIs.
