Results:
U9 AWAY WESTMANSTOWN - The U9's played away in Westmanstown on Sunday. The support play was really strong which meant there were a lot of names on the scoresheet. Their defensive play was a massive step up on previous matches meaning head Coach Jamie Nolan was very proud of all his players.
U10 AWAY St. MARY's - The U10's played away in St. Mary's on Sunday. Bective had 2 teams and played 4 matches. The coaches were delighted by their performance as they showed real focus on tackling, handling and support running. All the players were looking for work and hungry to tackle for each other. They competed superbly well and their work on support lines was very evident with support players finishing off most of the tries scored on the day.
U12 AWAY Terenure - The U12's played away in Terenure on Sunday. They continued their good form by competing really well and scoring some super tries and coming out on top once again in the majority of their matches.
U13 HOME Seapoint - The U13's played at home in the 3rd round of the Metro Cup versus Seapoint on Sunday. There were some stand out performances in the back line with out-half Conor McDermott crashing over the line and wing Rian O'Callaghan scoring a couple of tries to win 32 - 0. Big game this Sunday versus Old Belvedere in the Quarter Final of the Youth Cup.
Massive congratulations to former Bective Mini Players Herbie Boyle, Oliver Maybury and Harry McCafferty who are all part of the St. Michael's JCT team who will contest the final against St. Vincent's Castleknock College on Wednesday 19th March in Energia Park.

The Sun Chasers - Charity Cycle on 28 and 29 March
Fellow Rangers,
"Bective is a family" and "Once a Ranger, always a Ranger" aren't just plaudits, but are statement of fact.
Unfortunately, there have been a number of deaths by suicide of former Bective players over recent years. There have also been a number of high profile instances of former professional rugby players being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
Last October, the wheels were set in motion for a cycle challenge combining rugby, endurance and the opportunity to raise much needed funds for two charities; Pieta and the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
On 28 and 29 March a team of 15 (cyclists and support drivers) will be embarking on a charity cycle, with all funds raised going directly to these two great causes. Eight of the team are former Bective Rangers.
28 March - Bective Rangers FC to Curraghboy, Co. Roscommon (150K):
7:45 am start. The time has been chosen to represent the numbers on the jerseys previously worn by Rob Burrow, Paul Darbyshire and Doddie Wier. Three rugby players, who succumbed after a great battle with MND.
29 March - Curraghboy to Castlebar (100K): 5.45 am start. The time has been chosen so that we can be on the road for sunrise, in keeping with the Darkness into Light theme.
Connacht are hosting Munster in the URC on 29 March. The fundrasing team had already been set up before it was announced that the match was moving from Galway to Castlebar. The team had no hesitation in accepting the challenge of going the extra 40K this change of fixture would mean.

BECTIVE MEN’S SHED
The ‘Bective Men’s Shed’ is for those retired members who can give an hour or two on a Thursday to devote to maintenance and development of our premises and for a meet up for tea/coffee. We are keen to develop the rear of the pavilion so that it can be used during the summer months for outside eating/drinking and the group are currently working on this project. The Men’s Shed meets on Thursdays at 12 noon in the clubhouse.
