GENERAL UPDATES
Unfortunately, it was not our day on Saturday, with injuries not helping the Bective cause. Nonetheless, it is a long season ahead that will ebb and flow. We played some great rugby with a 4 try plus a losing bonus point effort, so we didn’t come away empty handed with the 2 valuable points. Better days ahead.
This Saturday the 1XV play Keith Earl’s local club from Limerick, Richmond RFC, in the AIL All Ireland Cup. Why not come down and support the team and stay on for the Ireland v Scotland game? There will be 4 big screens showing the game, so invite a few friends to the clubhouse where you can see and enjoy the game in comfort.

It took a late Seapoint penalty to finally subdue Bective in a terrific Leinster League Div 1 clash at a wet and damp Donnybrook on Saturday…
2XV: Seconds kept up their unbeaten run with another excellent performance.
Final Score: Bective 31 – Seapoint 10
3XV: In a great tussle, Bective were pipped by 3 points in a 12 try Metro league match on Friday night in Donnybrook.
Final Score: Bective 38 – DLSP 41

Player’s Insurance
The Executive Committee of Bective Rangers FC recommends that all persons playing rugby for the Club, should have their own medical/personal injury insurance that covers any medical expenses and loss of earnings.
Although all players are covered by IRFU insurance while playing rugby, this does not cover loss of earnings or medical expenses. The Club strongly recommends that all players organise their own insurance to cover this eventuality.
Details of the cover provided under the IRFU Group Personal Accident Insurance scheme provided for members of the Club can be found in your membership book.
It is the player’s individual responsibility that they have adequate insurance in place. Further information regarding insurance is available by following the link here

Results:
U15's were back to winning ways with a tremendous win over Barnhall 50 - 7.
U13's won their 3rd grading game at home to Malahide 28 - 14. That's 3 from 3.
U12's played at home against Lansdowne and after a tough start, played some great rugby, scoring some super tries.
U11's played away in Shannon, won the majority of their matches and attended the Muster V Barbarians match in Thomand on Saturday evening.

U13's - away to Seapoint - Kick Off TBC.
U12's - away to Seapoint - Kick Off 9am.

The Big Coffee Morning Social Event for Hospice
Well done to Mark O’Brien and Sharon Byrne for holding their Annual Charity Coffee Morning in the newly refurbished Bective clubhouse last Sunday, raising a fantastic €2,200 for this worthy charity. A big thank you to members and friends for baking all the delicious home confectionary on offer too. Congratulations to all the raffle winners.
