GENERAL UPDATES

The 1XV and 2XV Teams didn’t have fixtures last weekend.

So, after a desperately disappointing weekend for Irish rugby, this weekend sees the resumption of the Leinster League. On Saturday we play Gorey away at 3pm. This is a very important game for us to get back on track, so please try to make it along to support the team and then come back to Bective to watch the 2nd Rugby World Cup Semi-Final. Gorey have proven to be very tough opposition over the last few seasons, so all support is greatly needed.

On Sunday the Under 17’s lost to Suttonians in Energia Park. Full Time: Bective 30 - 62 Suttonians.

They will now play Seapoint this Sunday in the preliminary round of the plate. KO: 12:30, Kilbogget Park

Rugby World Cup Semi-Finals

This Friday and Saturday evening the Bective Clubhouse will be open and showing both Semi Final games at the Rugby World Cup, so why not come down and enjoy the matches and a drink. First game, New Zealand vs Argentina, Friday KO: 20:OOPM. Second game, South Africa vs England, Saturday, KO: 20:00PM

Results:

U15's - Great start to their grading games with a well deserved win versus Barnhall 17 - 7.

U13's - Were beaten by a strong Blackrock side. They had several injuries during the game which impacted them greatly.

U11's - Played away in St. Mary's putting on a strong performance all round with all teams winning.

U10's - Played at home versus Stillorgan/Rathfarnham and competed really well in every sense from attack to defence.

U8's - Played away to Stillorgan/Rathfarnham where they competed really well on their first tackling outing.

Matches:

U15's - Away to Lansdowne. Kick off 12pm - YMCA grounds off Claremont Road.

U12's - Home to Barnhall. Kick off 10:15am - Back Pitch.

U11's - Away to Terenure. Kick off 9:30am.

U9's Away in Terenure. Kick off TBC.

U6/U7's - Home to Blackrock. Kick off 9am.

Player’s Insurance

The Executive Committee of Bective Rangers FC recommends that all persons playing rugby for the Club, should have their own medical/personal injury insurance that covers any medical expenses and loss of earnings.

Although all players are covered by IRFU insurance while playing rugby, this does not cover loss of earnings or medical expenses. The Club strongly recommends that all players organise their own insurance to cover this eventuality.

Details of the cover provided under the IRFU Group Personal Accident Insurance scheme provided for members of the Club can be found in your membership book.

It is the player’s individual responsibility that they have adequate insurance in place. Further information regarding insurance is available by following the link here
