Bective win Leinster League Div 1A and the Leinster Seconds League (J2) for the second year in a row.
General Updates
It was anything but the “sunny south east” as all of Bective headed south to Gorey last Saturday for the final games in the league and with the Div 1A title in the bag. Persistent rain and a saturated pitch failed to dampen the day for Bective with both the 1XV and 2XV winning their matches and in the process, the 2XV overtaking Gorey to win the Leinster Seconds League also.

Next up for the 1XV is this Thursday and the chance for further silverware with the Spencer Cup Final in Donnybrook. This will kick off another busy weekend at the Club with the Cheltenham Gold Cup Day on Friday (St Patrick’s Day) and Ireland v England on Saturday.
2XV: Congratulations to Sean Geraghty and his team on their 3 in a row League titles with the win on Saturday. After falling behind to two early Gorey penalties, the team stormed back with two first half tries to lead at half time. There was no let up from Bective in the second half and playing great rugby in atrocious conditions, ran out worthy winners with two further tries to no reply from Gorey.

U14 - lost the semi final of the plate to a strong Seapoint team 20 - 14.
U13 - won against Terenure in the cup beating they by a score line of 14-12
U12 - played away in Greystones with all teams competing well
U9 - hosted Terenure and Seapoint in the main pitch and won all their matches
U8 - played away to Monkstown and competed well in all matches.
