Hello Rangers,
Super wins by both the 1XV and 2XV on Saturday as a large attendance preceded by the pre-match lunch turned out in Donnybrook for our first home matches of the season.
The clash of the Leinster League Division 1A & 1B Champions, newly promoted buoyant Boyne RFC, following their 7 try demolition of Suttonians in their previous outing, tried to impose their ‘A’ game on Bective Rangers only to leave Donnybrook empty-handed.......to continue reading the match report, please click here.
Well done to Sean Geraghty and the 2XV on their win also. Considering the injuries to both the 1XV & 2XV this was a great result over Boyne by 25-19.
The 3XV, after the cancellation by Tallaght RFC last week, unfortunately had no game on Saturday. They start their league campaign vs Skerries this coming weekend.

The Minis were in action too last weekend. The U14’s had a great win away at DLSP 36-26. Congratulations to Marcus Kennedy and all the coaches involved. The U13’s played Old Wesley RFC in Ballychorus. Final score was 19-15 to Old Wesley. The U11’s were very competitive in 2 matches versus Lansdowne FC in Donnybrook. The U10’s played great rugby up the mountains at the new Stillorgan/Rathfarnham RFC grounds.
Important Upcoming Events
Firstly, to mention on Monday evening 10th October ’22 is the ‘’Planning for the Future of Bective Event’’ at the Clubhouse Donnybrook. This will be an important evening, please note that the Event is an open evening for anyone who has an interest in the future of Bective Rangers FC including members, member’s spouses, past members, Mini’s parents, sponsors, local community etc.

The other event happening soon is Friday week 30th Sept. the Annual Bective Corporate Golf Day at Foxrock Golf Club . It is a 4-person team event open to all. Speakers at the post golf dinner will be Bernard Jackman and Greg McWilliams coach of the Irish Women’s Rugby Team. More details below
This Sunday morning, 2nd Oct from 10am to 1pm, our Club Manager Mark O’Brien is holding a Coffee Morning Social in aid of your local hospice.

Ireland v South Africa - Sat 5th Nov @ 5.30pm, prices are €117 for Category 2 & €112 for Category 3
Ireland v Fiji - Sat 12th Nov @ 1pm, prices are €75 for Category 2 & €67 for Category 3
Ireland v Australia - Sat 19th Nov @ 8pm, prices are €112 for Category 1, €92 for Category 2 & €77 for Category 3
Please note that there is a €10 admin fee for each pair of tickets.
