After a momentous day in Navan RFC, Bective prevailed with a 6 try win in the Round Robin semi-final against the Connacht champions Connemara Blacks . Roared on by a huge band of travelling Bective supporters the team produced one their best performances of the season by beating Connemara by 40pts to 17pts. Leading 21pts to 3pts at half time Bective were pegged back early in the 2nd half but then showed their class by running in 3 further tries for a comprehensive victory.
The 2nd semi-final was won by Ulster champions Instonians, with the final now fixed for Dundalk RFC next Saturday 9th April, Kick off 2.30pm.
This will be the most important match for Bective in many years.
The Coaches , Management team and most importantly the players deserve great credit for reaching the final and now stand to create Bective history by bringing the club back to the AIL.

3XV Unfortunately the team had to play their O’Connor Cup match last Saturday also, and had no luck in a tight match going down by 27 – 15 to St Mary’s RFC in Bective.
U18’s Bective/ OW (Donnybrook ) played Lansdowne FC on Sunday in the semi-final of the league, but just consistent bad luck lost out.
The score did not reflect the skill and effort the team put in on Sunday and also throughout the season and great credit is due to Bective coach Tanya King and the Old Wesley coaches for all their work with the team.

U13’s played a friendly at Clontarf winning 24-nil ,maintaining their unbeaten run all season.
Their biggest test of the season so far will be this Sunday V Lansdowne FC in the league Semi-Final at the neutral venue Gonzaga School . All at Bective wish them well.
All support welcome.

The Ladies Charity Lunch in aid of Motor Neurone Disease and Pieta House took place on Saturday in the Clubhouse and we are really pleased to say we raised €5,040 for the Charities. We had an enjoyable and fun day and a lot of dancing took place. Thank you to everyone who supported the Ladies Lunch.

Finally, The IRFU is launching its first ever SROI project to calculate the economic and social value of rugby union in Ireland.
