It was back to winning ways as a great crowd of Rangers supporters turned up at Donnybrook last Saturday as the 1XV & 2XV recorded wins over Ashbourne RFC in the Leinster League Div. 1A & Leinster 2nd League Div. 1A. The bonus point win for 1XV leaves Bective in 2nd place in the League, just one point behind leaders Monkstown FC after 4 matches.

Pre Match Lunch
A good crowd attended the prematch lunch hosted by President David O’Donnell who welcomed the President of Ashbourne RFC, Aidan Gleeson and members of his executive.
A feature of the lunch was a presentation made by the President and immediate Past President Michael Flood to Jerry Culleton on his retirement as ‘The Minder of our Match Scoreboard’ over many years - well may we say, ‘for more years than we care to remember’.
Well done and thank you Jerry for keeping the points ticking over on the scoreboard for Bective Rangers for so long.

Mini’s
The Mini’s are now fully into their stride and all the teams are improving with every game and playing great rugby.
U11’s played Lansdowne and were very competitive and won their games. Well done to the players and coaches Richie Maybury, Declan Barrett, Fiachra Lennon, Pat McDermott, Neil O’Keeffe and Jack McGowan.
U13’s had an uphill battle away at Lansdowne but still did the jersey proud. Hard luck to the team and well done to the coaches Niall O’Doherty, Mike Ross and David Drumm.
U14’s had a great win away to Greystones 38-5! Credit is due to all the players and coaches, Marcus Kennedy, Sebastian Black, Pat Stephenson, John Healy and John Sadlier.
