Under 18's.5 Cup Final

Bective Rangers U'18.5s 18 - 17 MU Barnhall RFC

Great to finish the season with another major Leinster Branch trophy for Bective.
On a glorious day in Donnybrook last Sunday, supported by a large Bective crowd, our U18.5’s won the Final in dramatic circumstances coming from behind in the second half to edge a very strong Barnhall RFC B XV by just the 1 point at the final
whistle. As stated last week, the players are 5th year students from various south Dublin schools, and it is to their credit how they have gelled together as a group to produce this performance. Well done to Captain Ernie O‘Brien, the players and coaches, Bernard, Emmett and WeeWah on your achievement.

Final day of the season this Sunday with some surprise guests turning up in Donnybrook on Sunday.

Darkness into Light 2023

On Sat 6th May a number of Bective members and friends gathered at the Clubhouse to walk to Sandymount Beach in memory of those who have been affected by suicide and to raise funds for Pieta. The club hope to make the walk an annual event.

Bective Annual Golf Outing

The annual Barniville Cup ‘Bective Annual Golf Outing’ took place last Friday at Woodbrook GC.

The day had started with heavy rain, but by the time the last 4 Ball teed off the rain had stopped leading to a pleasant afternoon’s golf. There was a big attendance later for the meal and prize ceremony.

52  Women and Men teed off on the day.

Happy to report that this year’s winner of the Barniville Cup was Eoin Greene and winner of the Eddie Bryan Trophy was Jill Quinlan, well done to all the players and prize winners. The club would like to thank all the Sponsors for their generosity by donating the prizes. A big thanks also to our Jnr.Vice President Mick Shalloe for organising the day and ensuring that everyone had a special Bective annual golf outing experience.
