GENERAL UPDATES

A very busy last weekend at the club with both the U20’s and the 3XV in action on Friday night, and then on Saturday our 1XV and 2XV kicking off against Suttonians.

It was a fantastic turnout on Saturday to support the teams with the biggest crowd of the season so far in Donnybrook and over 100 supporters and guests attending the pre-match lunch.

The 1XV responded to the great support with a brilliant all round display in their win over League Leaders Suttonians. The win means Bective stay 3rd in the League but are now just 1 point behind new leaders Seapoint who we play away on Saturday. This is another crucial match before the Autumn break so after the Ireland V NZ game on Fri night, keep the rugby going and head out to  Cabinteely on Saturday and support the team as Bective bid to go top of the League .

Always remember your support is key to the team’s success.

Final Score:  Bective 29  Suttonians 10
Bective keep up their momentum

Results:
U10's AWAY Malahide
 - The U10s had a fantastic match away in Malahide! They’re playing some really exciting rugby and scoring impressive tries. With a competitive group like that, it’s no surprise they’re developing at such a strong pace. Coach Tommy Sheehy is doing an excellent job getting them well-drilled and keeping the focus on continuous improvement. The U10's are growing in confidence with every match they play.

U11's AWAY Malahide - The U11s had a successful away trip to Malahide under the guidance of head coach Colin Gaffney. Colin brought two teams, and both performed excellently, winning the majority of their matches. Their strong performances throughout the day reflect the hard work and dedication they've put into their training. So far this season, the U11s have been consistently impressive, and this outing further showcased their growth and competitive spirit. It’s shaping up to be a promising season for them!

U12's AWAY Terenure - The U12s faced a tough challenge away against a strong Terenure side, but after a slow start, they found their rhythm and finished the matches strongly. Despite the early setbacks, the team showed great resilience and determination to compete. Head coach Paul Hatton is doing a great job ensuring this large group is developing at the right pace, helping them grow both individually and as a team. Their ability to bounce back and perform well in tough matches speaks to their potential, and they’re continuing to make solid progress this season.
