GENERAL UPDATES
Bective kicked off the new year with a great 4 try bonus point win over Sean O’Brien’s Tullow in Donnybrook, taking the 5 points and keeping up the pressure on League leaders Seapoint and Monkstown in the process. Unfortunately, the gloss was taken of the win with the news of the serious ankle injury to Club Captain Mattie Keane early in the game. Everyone at the club wishes Mattie a speedy recovery from this unfortunate injury.
On Saturday we play the League leaders Seapoint away with a 2.30pm kick off. This will probably be the most important league game so far this season, so all support is needed out in Killiney.
Then on Saturday 27th January we play Ballyclare of Ulster in the Energia All Ireland Junior Cup Final. This game will be held in Dundalk RFC with a 2.30pm kick off. We will be in touch closer to the date with details of the coach to the game etc.
On SUNDAY 4th February we play Gorey at home in Donnybrook at 3pm. Please note although this is a Sunday game there will be a Pre Match Lunch.

Mini’s & Youths
Results:
U8 HOME - St. Mary's/Belvo - Hosted a super blitz which saw some great tackling and tries scored.
U10 HOME - Seapoint - Competed really well winning all their matches.
U11 AWAY - St. Mary's - Continued their super run of form winning all their matches.
U13 HOME - Newbridge (Friday Night Lights) Main Pitch 7pm-8.30pm. - Had a great win under lights beating a strong Newbridge team 36 - 7 to set-up a home Quarter Final this coming Sunday 21st January (Kick Off 12PM).
U15 AWAY Greystones - Lost in a close match 29 - 25. The lads showed great spirit to come back after conceding a couple of scores but unfortunately it wasn't enough.
U17s beat Clontarf 17-14 to stay top of Division 1a of the league. 3 wins from 3. See league table below.

*The Annual Mini's Ball takes place this Saturday 20th Jan @ 7pm in the Clubhouse. The event is sold out this year with 150 parents and coaches attending.

Ex. Bective player and founder of Insomnia, Bobby Kerr with Mark O’Brien after delivery and installation of the new coffee dispenser at Bective. The club are most appreciative to Bobby for his generous support. This puts the club on a par with any coffee offering in the locality.

Call, text, WhatsApp, if available, to 087 2581631 or 087 2531818. Walking boots and (wet gear) – maybe Shorts and Shades – all are welcome. This is a great hike with spectacular views of Dublin Bay and the Wicklow Mountains. It isn't overly challenging, but a good workout.
