Hope everyone is enjoying our weather interrupted summer, better days ahead hopefully.
Behind the scenes the Executive Committee are ensuring all is running smoothly in Donnybrook as we gear up for the new season. New Head Coach Ben Manion and his team have hit the ground running with the first training session taking place last week. Great to see all the old and new faces in the large turnout.
Strategic Plan 2023-2028 Launch
On a journey interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic and after the initial successful Seeding and Harvest events, the launch of Bective’s Strategic 5 Year Plan took place recently in the clubhouse, with a large membership attending the evening.
The Strategic Plan 2023-2028 is one of the most important Bective projects to have taken place in recent years, with a massive input from the members, and already results from some of the groups and project teams are there for all to see. So the vision is in place for the future to ‘’Keep Bective Moving Forward’’.
Annual Ladies Charity Lunch 2024
The annual Ladies Charity Lunch, raising valuable funds for ‘Ronald McDonald House’ hosted by Maria Shalloe, took place in the pavilion last March.
The Ladies Lunch Committee are now delighted to announce the amazing sum of €7,200 was raised for this worthy charity. Thank you to everyone who attended and also to all the members, friends and local businesses who made donations and contributed the fantastic prizes.
Autumn Internationals Corporate Packages
We have a limited number of Corporate Packages available for the Ireland v Australia on Saturday 30th November at 3.10pm.
The Corporate Packages provide a great opportunity to entertain customers while supporting our club through sponsorship.

If you are an existing member, you will have received an email from Sportlomo on the 6th of June with the subject line: "RugbyConnect Renewal 23/24".
You can follow the instructions and link in that email to renew your membership for the 2024/25 season.

Upcoming Yearbook 2024/2025
We are looking for new advertisers for our Yearbook 2024/2025. This is a great way to support our Club while advertising your business or that of someone you know. The advertisers details will not only be in the Yearbook on the website, but their logo will also be added to our website sponsor page for the year. Bective Men’s Shed
The ‘Bective Men’s Shed’ is for those retired members who can give an hour or two on a Thursday to devote to maintenance and development of our premises and for a meet up for tea/coffee. We are keen to develop the rear of the pavilion so that it can be used during the summer months for outside eating/drinking and the group are currently working on this project. The Men’s Shed meets on Thursdays at 12 noon in the clubhouse.
