General Updates
So with the 20/24 season drawing to a close with just the Mini’s & Youths still flying the Bective flag, it was more hard luck for Bective as our U13’s went down fighting last Sunday in the Leinster Boys Schools Youth U13’s Plate Final. Losing out to Terenure in a fantastic game by 36 – 22. Well done to all the players and coaches.

U10's HOME - Wanderers/Monkstown - The U10's competed really well at home against Wanderers and Monkstown on Friday evening.
Sunday 5th
U13's HOME - Terenure - Leinster Finals Day - Leinster Boys Schools Youth U13 Plate Final. In what was a thrilling match on the day, the U13's once again represented the badge superbly losing out to a strong Terenure side 36 - 22. Congratulations to all the boys, they have had a brilliant season supported by all their coaches, Kieran Walsh, Dave Lane, Daviud Shaw, Matt Shaw, David Popplewell, Mike Ross and Triona Walsh.

U6/7/8's AWAY Westmanstown - the youngest of our groups are all heading to Fort Lucan for an activity of fun after their matches on Sunday.

The Official End Of Season Day will take place on Sunday 19th May 9am - 12:30pm.
Bective Barniville Cup day
Over 50 golfers enjoyed the annual golf outing at Woodbrook GC last Friday. Conditions were perfect for golf with no wind and a pleasant temperature on a great course. Well done to everyone for participating and many thanks to all the sponserers for their generous support.
Thanks too to Mark jones and his team for organising the day and to Johnny Vaughan and Billy O’Brien for checking all the cards.

Bective Men’s shed
For some time a ‘Bective Men’s Shed’ has been discussed and now as we have a pavilion to be proud of we are going ahead with the idea. It is for those retired members who can give an hour or two on a Thursday to devote to maintenance and development of our premises and for a meet up for tea/coffee. We would be keen to develop the rear of the pavilion so that it can be used during the summer months for outside eating / drinking. ‘Men’s Shed’ takes place on Thursdays at 12 noon.
