Donnybrook

The club first trained and played its matches at the Phoenix Park and over subsequent years moved around Dublin using pitches at Sydney Parade, and Ranelagh i.e. Rugby Road. The club played matches at the R.D.S. during the 1890’s and 1900’s (early team photos from the RDS remain in the clubhouse) before settling at our Donnybrook home circa 1910. Rather apt as the ground was formerly the venue for the infamous Donnybrook Fair held annually centuries before.
The club signed a 99 year lease in 1992 thus ensuring permanency to the extensive clubhouse and grounds shared with our neighbours and friends Old Wesley R.F.C.

The Glenamuck Ground

The club has a second property. The club bought the former De La Salle R.F.C. grounds on the Glenamuck Road, Carrickmines. The ground was purchased in the 1980’s following the merger of Palmerston F.C. and De La Salle R.F.C.
The extensive grounds comprise of a newly laid full size floodlit pitch with adjacent floodlit training areas and a pavilion with rugby rooms and kitchen facilities. The ground is a 15 minute drive from Donnybrook and a 5 minute drive from both the M50 (take Exit 15) and from both the Carrickmines and Ballyogan Luas tram stations.
