Aidan Mulligan, Club Captain 2019/20
As captain of Bective Rangers FC, I would like to welcome all visitors to our club over the course of the 2019/20 season. It is a great honour for me to be named captain for a second season and I’d like to thank all members for this opportunity.
To our outgoing president Barbara Culleton and the executive, I wish you all the best and thank you for the tireless work you have put in over the last 12 months. To our incoming president Johnny Vaughan, the senior players and members thank you for your ongoing support and kind messages.
This coming season will be my thirteenth as a Bective player. Although our league position last year may speak to the contrary, I felt it was a very important and successful season. The team plans to build on that positivity and return Bective Rangers to the All Ireland League. I would like to thank all involved in the senior set up this year; Bernard Jackman, Head Coach, David Kirk and Hein Havenga, Assistant Coaches, Shane Dunne, Team Manager and Marta Giner, Sports Psychologist.
A massive thank you must go out to Joey Boland and all the staff in Sports Physio Ireland, kit man Steve Rattigan with Steve Shallow and Rory Finnegan; we would be lost without these guys’ work in the background.
This club means a great deal to me and will always hold an important place in my life. To every player, parent, coach, volunteer and member, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to represent this great club.
On a final and personal note, I would like to thank my family and friends for their constant support. Mostly, I would like to thank my fiancé, Shauna, for her tireless motivation, love and support.
Le gach deá ghuí,
Club Captain 2019-2020
